I figured this was the safest place for a thread like this, and I've been wondering for a while just what exactly are your "head canons" for the chats and grid.
We know that you can make your own room in the chats and have it be anything from a different room in the "main bar" or a forest, warehouse, whatever else you can think of. For years people have been arguing about whether or not the main chat rooms have corners and rafters, stairs and a basement, a kitchen, etc.
I don't think I've been around long enough to know of RB was like, "Yo, this is what the chats look like, deal with it" or not, I started RPing and playing her some years after they were set up.
And on the same topic (sort of), what about the city? Or just the outside of the "bar"? I've seen people RP as they're "walking out into the forest, into the night!" Some people "walk to the parking lot" or just "out to the street". And the grid itself is... Squarish. I've seen mansion squares, gardens, I think there's a warehouse somewhere? So is there something you imagine as your characters are walking around the city?
Maybe I should start with some of mine, so you get the idea.
I imagine the bar sorta looking like this
And the general layout of the rest of the bar like this
but actually so much wider? Scarce tables, booths and stuff, maybe next to the stairs all the rooms. It's a very open area in my mind, for some reason. I just always thought of it as that.
I'm also one of those people who think the building is free standing, nothing else is attached to it leaving alleys several yards wide and all that. It has it's own parking lot, too. I don't know how I also sometimes think there's a forest nearby? Somehow it manages to be within walking distance, my tavern seems to be on the very edge of the city, maybe a suburb. Take a left out the door and you get further from the center of the city, take a right that takes you to the heart.
This first post was really disorganized and I apologize for that, I hope the topic gets across well enough, because I'm really, very interested to hear what you guys view where you're RPing all the time.
